- To bring high-quality, low-cost, professional Wordpress design and internet marketing services to small business

- To give our clients a fast return on their investment
- To offer the best value business proposition in small business web design, bar none.
Mucho was set up in July 2009 by Rich Candy and Annabel Candy following their move to Australia, but they have been working in website development and marketing since 1996, first in London and then in Auckland where they set up the successful web design agency Immedia in 1998.
Now based in Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, we take pride in giving excellent personal service, drawing on our skills and experience to provide the best solutions. Our mission for the last ten years has been to give sound advice to our clients and design websites which look fabulous, are easy-to-use and stand the test of time.
We design top-quality sites at reasonable prices. Our aim is to fill the gap between the low cost amateurs and the big budget design agencies - we will make you look professional without breaking the bank. Our clients love us and most of our work comes through word of mouth because we are totally accessible, and will never accept a job unless we can give it our full attention and are confident that we can complete it to our high standards.
We have worked with clients in a wide variety of industries and we have clients in New Zealand, Australia, Europe, South East Asia and Africa. Our list of satisfied customers has included GlaxoSmithKline, Craggy Range Winery, Global Organics, Pacific International Translations, Sokwe, Sorrento in the Park, Stony Ridge Winery, The Conference Company, The International Language Company and NZ Funds. If you’d like to find out what they have to say about us, just call us and we’ll put you in touch with them.
The Website Design and Internet Marketing Team
Rich Candy Director
“Mucho Man” Rich Candy has a BSc in Computer Science and Physics and over 20 years of application development experience. He has been developing and marketing websites since working for an Internet startup in London in 1995. Since then he has been amassing an extensive knowledge of website design and website and email marketing. What makes him a cut above the geeks is his understanding of design and marketing. He can talk about the web in plain English, he avoids techno-babble and won't use technology just for the sake of it. After running a successful website design company in New Zealand for ten years, he saw a gap in the market and came up with the idea of creating low cost website design packages. He wants to provide a practical solution for small businesses on lower budgets and give them the benefits of having a well designed and carefully planned website.
Rich is a Kiwi Pom from Africa. He grew up in Kenya and was educated in the UK. He has travelled extensively in Europe, Africa, North America, Asia and Australasia both for business and pleasure. Having just returned from a two year family stint in Central America he thinks Noosa on the Sunshine Coast is the best place he's been, and is here to stay!
When not enjoying the Great Outdoors with his family, Rich enjoys playing poker in the Great Indoors and is well on his way to becoming the most feared player on the Sunshine Coast, though there is no evidence as yet to support this extravagant claim!
Annabel Candy Director
Annabel has an M.A. in Design for Interactive Multimedia from Middlesex University in London, and ten years experience in website and interactive design. She's been involved in designing and writing website copy for some of New Zealand's top companies. These include GlaxoSmithKline, the TeachNZ campaign and, Sealord.
Annabel's role bridges the gap between the technical team, whose prime concern is to make the site work, the graphic designers who make it look good and the clients whose knowledge of the Internet may be limited. Annabel obsesses over:
- target audience (who, where and why)
- navigation (allowing users to find the information they need and know where they are)
- screen legibility (a totally different beast from print legibility)
- web copy (what you want to say and how you say it)
She’s written dissertations on some of these subjects and has read extensively about design for interactive media so she knows what she’s talking about. Check out her reading list if you’d like to learn more about website design. It’s that solid foundation of the theory of website design, coupled with years of practical application of that knowledge in the business world that make Annabel’s expertise in Internet marketing and website design invaluable to a diverse range of companies.
She’s a people person who enjoys not only meeting people but learning about their businesses and clients so she can make sure the website will meet client needs.
With a background in journalism and a broad understanding of the Internet, Annabel is a natural expert in website copywriting and copywriting for SEO (search engine optimisation).
